The Open Red Alert project is an opensource effort that offers free versions of the classic Westwood Studios games Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, and Dune 2000. The project provides a single file which installs the executables for all three of these games for Windows, Apple and Linux operating systems. The project also maintains a forkable source code repository for the client and server on github.
These games have single player and multiplayer modes. The multiplayer mode connects to online matchmaking where players can create or join games and play up to 12 other players online. Online play is free as is the game.
All three of these games, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun and Dune 2000 are based on the Command and Conquer game engine
